HONG KONG FINALS
21 Hong Kong teams qualified for the Hong Kong Finals.
Judges assessed and awarded the pitches and apps.
The Hong Kong winning teams will progress to the following stage where their projects 
will be judged by an international jury pannel.
12  teams will be selected to pitch their project in person at the World Pitch Summit
in Silicon Valley (August 2017).

A record number of 1172 global submissions this year
In Hong Kong we had 
250+ Girls,  60+ Teams, ​40+ Schools

1.00pm – App Demo Booths reserved for Stage 2 Finals Judges (6 mins/booth) 
2.00pm – Judges & VIPs arrival for special tour of booths
2.30pm - Opening ceremony in Function Room  
  • Welcome by Organiser from Young Makers & ChangeMakers: Brian Tang (5 mins) 
  • Welcome by Finals Sponsor from Cyberport: Maria Lam Chief Corporate Development Officer  (3 mins)
  • Guest of Honour speech from Education Secretary Eddie Ng (7 mins)
  • Guest of Honour speech from Innovation and Technology Bureau Under-secretary David Chung (7 mins) 
  • Group photo with Guests of Honour, Judges, Supporting Organizations, girls and mentors 

3.00pm Final Pitches (4 mins pitch + 4 mins Q&A) 
4.40pm – TED type short talks (while Finals Judges results collated)

5.00pm – Results and prize-giving
